Windeatts Solicitors, one of the oldest firms of solicitors in the South Devon with offices in Totnes and Kingsbridge, has invested in a new server and IT system that allows the firm to streamline its working practices.
The firm has been supported in this new development by Francis Clark Computing Technologies.
Windeatts was founded in 1832 and is one of the leading legal firms in the area. Its legal teams specialise in a number of areas of law including property, probate, crime, wills, divorce and family and accident claims.
Until recently the firm had managed its own IT, but as the business has grown and the IT system has expanded, it looked to Francis Clark Computing Technologies to install a new system and provide valuable ongoing support.
Chris Kendall is a partner at Windeatts. He said: “With two offices and 32 members of staff, it was vital that we updated our IT systems to manage our ongoing workload and our expected growth. As well as operating from two sites, our clients are based all over the UK so it was important that we had in place a system that would help us to meet their requirements most effectively.”
He added: “We called in Francis Clark Computer Technologies because the business has a track record in providing IT systems and support for professional service firms. The introduction of new technology has gone very smoothly and we could not have done it without them. By successfully managing our IT needs, Francis Clark Computing Technologies has left us free to do what we do best providing a first rate legal service focussed on our clients’ individual needs.”
Phil Mortimer, managing director at Francis Clark Computing Technologies, commented: “We were delighted to have been able to support Windeatts by introducing an IT system that not only addresses the current needs of the firm, but which also covers it for future expansion. The firm now has a new server with improved network support.”
